My goal is to read all of the books that are on my shelf, forgotten. I also want to continue working on my habit of writing daily in a journal. I started in the spring but I want this to be the first year when I write every day. Great post!
The writing habit is a big one for me. I can't really write if I'm not reading, so I'm hoping the two will go hand in hand. We should check-in in the spring to see how we're getting on.
My goal is to write more fiction this year. The last couple of years I've focused so much on my podcast (which was fiction, admittedly - a monologue sitcom) that I've all but abandoned flash fiction, short stories and my novel drafts. The gradual build-up sounds a good way of reaching your 2 hours a day, best of luck with it. Resolutions often end up being what people feel they should do rather than what they want to do, and they expect instant change.
I know this one too well. I'm still learning to prioritise, but I think it's to shift them around occasionally. I look forward to seeing your fiction! Hopefully, I'll be there this time next year. Yeah, you can't treat resolutions like they are TikTok video, there more like feature films.
Great again Matt, here's a quote from Homer Simpson : "Trying--- is the first step towards failure"
Every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. 😜
yes, that's another great one :-)
